Giselle is a Japanese singer, rapper, and songwriter under SM Entertainment. She is best known as a member of the girl group aespa, where she contributes to the group’s rap, vocals, and lyrical composition. Since her debut, she has gained recognition for her multilingual abilities and distinct tone, adding versatility to aespa’s sound and concept. She was introduced as a member of aespa in October 2020 through a press conference led by Lee Soo-man, and was later confirmed as the group’s final member. The group officially debuted on November 17, 2020, with the digital single “Black Mamba,” marking the beginning of their rise in the global K-pop scene. In 2024, Giselle expanded her individual activities with the release of her solo track “Dopamine,” which was unveiled as part of aespa’s special single “SYNK : Parallel Line,” connected to their second world tour. In June 2023, Giselle temporarily stepped back from certain scheduled activities due to health concerns, including appearances and overseas promotions. Shortly after, her condition improved, and she resumed participation in group activities, continuing promotions with aespa. In early 2026, dating rumors involving Shotaro circulated online after speculation about a video call interaction. The rumors were addressed directly, clarifying that the two are simply colleagues and close friends within the same company, putting an end to the speculation.
