2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and personalize your Yorisu experience (bias lists, bookmarks, contribution tracking).
To send transactional emails (password resets, account verification). We do not send marketing emails without explicit consent.
To moderate content and enforce our community guidelines.
To improve the platform by analyzing anonymized usage patterns.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely with Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the EU.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth.
We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure you can only access data you are authorized to see.
Profile images and media are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Public profile information (username, display name, bio, contributions) is visible to all site visitors.
We may share data with service providers (Supabase) strictly necessary for site operation.
We will disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Your Rights

You can edit or delete your profile information at any time via the Settings page.
You can request full account deletion via Settings > Danger Zone. This permanently removes your account and anonymizes your contributions.
You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
Users in the EU/EEA have rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to be forgotten.

We use essential cookies only — specifically for authentication session management.
No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
