DMCA Policy

1. Safe Harbor Notice

Yorisu is a fan-operated community platform that hosts user-submitted content. We review and act on properly submitted copyright complaints as quickly as reasonably possible. Where applicable, we aim to follow the notice-and-takedown framework described by the DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

2. How to Submit a Takedown Notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, your written communication must include all of the following elements as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

• A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notification).
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., the URL of the infringing page).
• Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that material was removed from Yorisu by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Your counter-notice must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that has been removed and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if outside the US, any judicial district in which Yorisu may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notification.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file an action seeking a court order within 10–14 business days of receiving the counter-notice, the removed material may be restored.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

Yorisu has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. Users who repeatedly upload infringing content will have their accounts suspended or permanently banned.

5. Misrepresentation Warning

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

6. Fan Content Note

Yorisu is a non-commercial fan community. Many images hosted on this platform are fan-sourced photos of public figures shared for informational and community purposes. We make reasonable efforts to respond to rights holders and will remove content promptly upon a valid complaint.
