On Jaefriends Episode 20, he described himself as an extreme Thinking (T) type, often positioned between friends with strong Feeling (F) personalities.

Xia has a fraternal twin brother, Kim Moo Young, who previously promoted as JUNO and ZUNO in Japan and China. In 2014, he joined C-JeS Entertainment—the same agency as Junsu—under his real name.

During his appearance on Jaefriends Episode 20, he introduced his nickname as Hong Il-i-man.
