When he was in high school, Jooyeon sang on a youtube channel called Song-Gaetting. His video became a hit, and he began recieving offers from different agencies, including JYP Entertainment, which was in the process of forming a band. Jooyeon chose JYP Entertainment right away.

When it comes to sports, Jooyeon is most confident at running.
