In 2016, Jeongyeon won the 'Female Rookie Award' at the SBS SAF Entertainment Awards for her roles in Law of the Jungle and being an MC for Inkigayo. She became the first TWICE member to ever win a solo award.

Yoo Jeongyeon, or simply Jeongyeon, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and dancer under JYP Entertainment, best known as a lead vocalist of TWICE. She joined TWICE after finishing third on the survival show SIXTEEN in 2015 and debuted with the group on October 20, 2015, with their first mini album, "The Story Begins". Jeongyeon also served as an MC for SBS’s Inkigayo from June 2016 to January 2017. In 2020 and 2021, she took breaks from activities due to anxiety and panic disorders.
