The Rose is a South Korean rock band currenty under Windfall, Transparent Arts and Wasserman. The band is composed of four members: Woosung (vocalist, guitar), Dojoon (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Hajoon (drums, sub-vocals), Lee Taegyeom (bass, sub-vocals).They started off as an indie band before eventually debuting as a band under J⋆ Company with their first single "Sorry". In 2019, The Rose participated in the music talent show Superband, produced by JTBC. The show invited indie musicians to perform and form new bands to compete against each other. Woosung entered the competition with his band members, but he was the only one to advance to the next round. The following year, it was announced that The Rose would be the opening act for Halsey’s Manic World Tour in Seoul. However, the tour was postponed to summer 2021 and eventually canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rose went on hiatus around 2020, as its members began completing their mandatory military service in South Korea, which is required of all male citizens. Dojoon enlisted in July 2020, followed by Hajoon and Jaehyeong. As an American citizen, Woosung was not required to serve in the Korean military and was able to focus on his solo career. His first full-length album, "GENRE," was released on December 9, 2021. After completing their service, the members reunited and released their first full-length group album, "HEAL" in 2022. In 2025, the band released the mini album "WRLD" and embarked on a world tour titled "Once Upon a WRLD." The tour included 29 stops across the globe, with performances in cities such as Paris, London, Berlin, Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Mexico City. The tour concluded with a final concert in Seoul on August 30.
