Parastar Entertainment

Parastar Entertainment (파라스타엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean entertainment agency established in 2020. In October of the same year, they were chosen as a candidate for start-up funding by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. Parastar, meaning "a star who transcends disability," is dedicated to nurturing artists who overcome physical barriers to showcase their skills and talents. Parastar Entertainment has created a system within the disability industry to train talented individuals in various domains such as modeling, dancing, athletics, and acting. They strive to provide more opportunities for versatile individuals with disabilities and to facilitate connections with interested broadcasters, serving as a bridge between the two. Moreover, by producing content that is accessible to all, including those with disabilities, Parastar aims to raise awareness about disabilities and foster a network that connects disabled and non-disabled individuals alike. Parastar Entertainment seeks to blur the lines between disability and non-disability, envisioning a world where 'disability' does not equate to 'inability'. They handle groups such as <a href="https://kpopping.com/profiles/group/Big-Ocean">Big Ocean</a>, the first hard-of-hearing group to debut in the K-pop industry among many other artists in different niches and industries.
